Krista Johansen
BIO
Biography

K.V. Johansen has Master's Degrees in Medieval Studies (Centre for Medieval Studies, University of Toronto) and in English (McMaster). Her main scholarly interests are ancient and medieval history and languages, and the history of children's fantasy literature. Her non-fiction work on the history of children's fantasy was researched while holding the 2001 Eileen Wallace Research Fellowship in Children's Literature, University of New Brunswick. She also received the 2004 Frances E. Russell Award for research in Children's Literature from the Canadian section of IBBY, the International Board on Books for Young People for a separate project. Johansen was the editor of Stalin Versus Me, the final volume of the late Donald Jack's Bandy Papers series. She also writes as Kris Jamison. Drop by her website at www.kvj.ca .
