BIO
Biography

Alexandra Tims is a biologist, writer and artist living in rural New Brunswick, Canada. Beginning in 2017, she has published ten titles in the Meniscus science fiction series under the name Alexandra Tims. Under the name Jane Spavold Tims, she also has seven books of poetry, including within easy reach and in the shelter of the covered bridge (Chapel Street Editions, 2016 and 2017), as well as three books in the Kaye Eliot Mystery Series, How Her Garden Grew (KDP, 2019), Something the Sundial Said (KDP, 2020) and Land Between the Furrows (KDP, 2021).

 

In 2016, she won the Alfred G. Bailey Prize in the Writers’ Federation of New Brunswick literary competition for her manuscript of poems about bird calls. In 2020 she won Third Prize in the same competition for her manuscript about the seasons.
