Ashleigh Mattern
BIO
Biography
Ashleigh Mattern has been working as a professional writer since 2007, getting her start at the University of Saskatchewan student newspaper the Sheaf and the Saskatoon StarPhoenix. Today, she’s the co-owner of Vireo Creative Website Design & Marketing and co-owner of Play Sask Sports, an adult rec sports league. From 2017 to 2021, she worked at CBC as a reporter and copy editor, and as an associate producer on CBC’s Saskatoon Morning radio show. But long before she was a professional writer, she was writing fiction and continues to do so to this day. In her spare time, you’ll find her writing, reading, riding her bicycle around Saskatoon, and playing recreational sports. Read more about Ashleigh at ashleighmattern.com.
