Julie Thompson
BIO
Biography

I can recall my first memories of being introduced to books.  I was four for five, curled up in my mother’s bed as she read me several bedtime stories before bed.  My bookcase was stacked with books.

Dr. Seuss

Berstein Bears.

Little Golden Books

Mr. Men and Little Miss series.

These books were my favorite, and often on repeat. I remember I had the story memorized, often finishing the page before my mom.  These moments were special, not only did they create sacred memories, they introduced me to a world outside of my world. A world filled with curiosity, wonder, adventure, and endless possibilities.

I started writing in 2012, mainly poetry and short stories.  My introduction to children's book writing began with the publication of my first picture book, Timeless Love, published in 2019.

When writing, my goal is to create stories that uplift diverse voices. Stories of laughter, joy, and inspiration. Stories that enrich the diverse tapestry of our world. Stories in which all are seen.

I am represented by Saba Sulaiman of Talcott Notch Literary. (https://sabasulaiman.com/)
