Susan Alexander is the author of the collection The Dance Floor Tilts, Thistledown Press. Her suite, Vigil, received the 2019 Ross and Davis Mitchell Prize for Faith and Poetry. Susan’s poems have earned other literary awards such as the Vancouver Writer’s Festival and Short Grain Prize, and have been longlisted for the CBC poetry prize. Her work has appeared in anthologies and literary magazines in Canada and the U.K. as well as on Vancouver busses and in the woods around Whistler. She has a new book of poems coming out in 2020. Her poems have been described “fearless in their plainspoken utterance of truth in all its piercing beauty, passion and search for redemption.”
