Jan Allen
BIO
Biography

Allen is a writer and visual artist based in Kingston, Ontario. Her fiction explores the fumbling beauty of embodied beings, their contests and abrasions, and their tender enjambment. In 2006, Allen released a collection of cyberpunk-inspired poetry under the title Personal Peripherals with BuschekBooks (Ottawa), and her critical writing has appeared in C Magazine (Toronto), Artext (Sydney, Australia), Poliester (Mexico City), and Prefix Photo (Toronto). Since 2020, she has been a regular contributor to Kingston’s arts focused The Skeleton Press.
